Ready to Race - KTM Goes MotoGP - 26/03/2017
Mattighofen in Oberösterreich ist die Heimat des größten europäischen Motorrad-Produzenten, KTM. Und die Firma arbeitet derzeit an etwas Großem: Es ist die RC16, ein Rennmotorrad, das am größten Wettbewerb des zweirädrigen Motorsports in 2017 teilnehmen wird. Nach den Tests im Saisonfinale in Valencia, betreten Team Manager Mike Leitner, gemeinsam mit den neuen Fahrern, dem Spanier Pol Espargaro und dem Briten Bradley Smith, die Szene der MotoGP. Die RC16 von KTM ist das einzige Rennmotorrad in der MotoGP, das als Fahrgestell einen Stahl-Gitterrohrrahmen besitzt und mit Stoßdämpfern der österreichischen Firma WP Suspension fährt. Wie wird das Rennen laufen, wenn „KTM goes MotoGP“? Die Dokumentation begleitet die Unternehmung und zeigt hautnah, welche Anstrengungen hinter einer solch großen Herausforderung stehen.
