    Les Bleus ont déjà gâché la fête en 2007 quand un essai de dernière minute de Vincent Clerc a donné la victoire 20 à 17 a son équipe et a assuré la défaite aux Irlandais dans leur premier match à Croke Park.
    L'Irlande a pris sa revanche deux ans plus tard avec une victoire 30 à 21 à domicile et après quatre saisons à Croke Park, l'Irlande retourne sur le site historique de Landsdowne Road, où un nouveau stade de 50.000 places a été construit.
    Mais l'équipe de Declan Kidney espère que le nouveau terrain lui apportera plus de chance que Landsdowne Road, ou ils ont eu que deux victoires contre les Français en 20 ans avant son redéveloppement.
